The song is about the pain of all the people who lives a life that they don't feel as the their own. 

Wrong choices, unfortunate circumstances, dreams never achieved ...everything seems like a big vertigo in which you can fall an fall again. 

But the power of the lost joy can give strenght to the soul and enable someone to react and fight for what they really want.
